Retraction and Correction Policy
Lex Aeterna Law Journal protects the integrity of the scholarly record by following the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
Correction
Errors that do not change an article's conclusions are addressed through a correction notice published in the following issue and linked in both directions to the original article, which remains accessible under the same DOI.
Retraction
An article is retracted where there is proven plagiarism, falsification of data or legal sources, duplicate publication, findings that cannot be substantiated, or a serious breach of research ethics.
Procedure: the editorial office receives a report or identifies a suspected breach; authors are given 14 days to respond; the Editor-in-Chief decides after consulting at least two members of the editorial board; the decision is communicated to all authors.
Retracted articles are not removed from the portal. The file remains accessible, watermarked RETRACTED on every page, together with a retraction notice stating the reasons. The DOI remains valid and the Crossref metadata is updated with the retraction status.
Removal
An article is removed in full only where its content is unlawful, endangers safety, or breaches a final and binding court decision. In such cases the metadata is retained together with a statement of the reason for removal.
