Hello Ricky,

As you know, we are working to move our main database to a new and open=20
system. We will be completing the final steps of this work between=20
Monday 16th September 21:00 UTC and Tuesday 17th September 21:00 UTC .

During this time, there will be complete downtime and outage on the=20
following Crossref services:

Deposits, including helper tools like the Web Deposit Form

Queries

Admin tool (doi.crossref.org)

Reports

OAI-PMH

OpenURL

Content negotiation

If you attempt to access these services, including making a metadata=20
deposit, you'll receive a 500 unavailable error message, and you will=20
need to retry when these services are back online. We will not store or=20
queue attempted metadata deposits or updates made during the downtime.

Crossref DOIs will continue to resolve during this time. The REST API is=20
not affected by this work and will remain available as normal.

We initiated the migration between 20 and 21 August, 2024 and made=20
significant progress; we are now ready to complete the proces. We=20
realise additional scheduled downtime may cause further disruption for=20
you, but this is critical work to move forward to a more robust,=20
reliable, and modern infrastructure. Thank you for your support.
