Hello Ricky,

We're writing to let you know about a change to upcoming downtime to the=20
majority of Crossref tools and services. You previously received an=20
email that this work was scheduled to start today, Sunday, 18 August at=20
20:00 UTC. This work has been rescheduled to take place between 20:00=20
UTC Tuesday, 20 August 2024 and 20:00 UTC Wednesday, 21 August 2024. We=20
expect up to 24 hours of complete downtime. We apologize for the=20
unexpected delay.

During this time, most Crossref services will be unavailable:

Deposits, including helper tools like the Web Deposit Form

Queries

Admin tool (doi.crossref.org)

Reports

OAI-PMH

OpenURL

If you attempt to access these services, including making a metadata=20
deposit, you'll receive a 500 unavailable error message, and you will=20
need to retry when these services are back online. We will not store or=20
queue attempted metadata deposits or updates made during the downtime.

The REST API is not affected by this work and will remain available as=20
normal. Also, all DOIs previously registered with us will still resolve=20
during this time.

We realise this scheduled maintenance may cause some disruption for you,=20
but this has been a long time in the planning and testing, and we're=20
excited to be moving the Crossref system forward to an open-source=20
database and a more robust, reliable, and modern infrastructure to shore=20
us up for the future.
